Regina Home Economics for Living Project (H.E.L.P.)

HELP is an educational resource for the Regina Community. It is a project of the non-profit corporation, Regina Home Economics for Living Project Inc.

HELP's goal is to involve and assist families and individuals to develop their skills to manage the demands of paying bills and buying groceries. These skills enable people to take control of their human and economic resources. In other words...Helping People Help Themselves.


HELP provides information, printed resources and training at an appropriate literacy level in:

  • Nutrition
  • Shopping Skills
  • Vegetarian Cooking
  • Low Fat Food Preparation
  • Low Cost Food Preparation
  • Basic Money Management and Budgeting
  • Basics of Renting
  • General Banking Information
  • Dealing with Credit and Debt

Home Economists deliver the programs. They are trained in nutrition, family finance, home management and budget counselling.
