  • Alberta Resource Centre for Quality Enhancement (ARCQE)

    Agency dedicated to providing technical assistance to the early learning and care service sector through provision of supporting quality and building capacity to those it serves.  As a provincial organization, ARCQE is unique in designing supports and resources specific to the needs of the Alberta child care community.

  • Canadian Child Care Federation (CCCF)

    Bilingual, non-profit, member-based organization established to provide the best and promising practice, build capacity, and join together networks and partnerships.

  • Child Care Human Resource Sector Council (CCHRSC)

    Pan-Canadian, non-profit organization that addresses pressing human resource issues in the child care sector.

  • Childcare Resource and Research Unit (CRRU)

    Policy and research oriented facility that focuses on early childhood education and child care (ECEC) and family policy in Canada and internationally.

  • National Alliance for Children and Youth (NACY)

    The National Alliance for Children and Youth is a nonprofit umbrella organization which brings national organizations together in a collaborative network dedicated to enhancing the well-being of children and youth in Canada.

  • Saskatchewan Early Childhood Association (SECA)

    Non-profit, membership-based organization dedicated to the support of high quality early childhood care, development and education. We believe that this requires a partnership among parents, caregiver, children, family, community and government.

  • The Alberta Association of Services for Children and Families

    The Alberta Association of Services for Children and Families works to strengthen member agencies and promotes attitudes, practices and conditions that contribute to quality services for vulnerable children and families in Alberta.

Strengthening the Charitable Sector

  • Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations

    CCVO is a nonprofit umbrella organization with member organizations including nonprofits and charities in the Calgary region.  CCVO conducts research on the nonprofit sector, represents the sector to governments on nonprofit policy issues, leads collaborative work, raises the profile of the sector, and builds the sector's capacity by mobilizing shared resources to enhance programs, governance, services and operations.

  • Canada Revenue Agency (Charities Division)

    Registers qualifying organizations as charities, gives technical advice on operating a charity, and handles audit and compliance activities.

  • Edmonton Chamber of Voluntary Organizations

    Non-profit organization and registered charity who mission is to strengthen, serve and support the non-profit/voluntary sector in the Edmonton region.

  • Imagine Canada

    National registered charity dedicated to delivering research that strengthens the sector and shapes policy.

  • The Philanthropist

    The Philanthropist is a Canadian online journal dealing with subjects affecting the charitable and non-profit sector.  It will be of interest both to those seeking information and relevant to their own organizations and to those looking for material about sector-wide issues.  A wide range of topics is featured, ranging from law and regulation to governance and leadership to accounting and human resources, among other areas.
