On December 31, 2025, one of our longest serving staff members retired from the Foundation.
Tara Stang joined the Foundation on a full-time basis in 1993. Initially an administrative assistant in a two-person office, her responsibilities grew as the Foundation did. She served as the finance officer, and then grants officer before becoming senior grants officer.
Her career with the Foundation was marked by excellence. She took on responsibility for the Foundation’s Youth Granting for Youth project in Saskatoon, making lifelong connections with young people given the responsibility for making grants with the Foundation’s money. She went on to work on the early learning and child care file, and worked closely with service providers in Alberta and Saskatchewan, again establishing relationships that will stand the test of time.
The Foundation, and those we serve, will miss Tara’s skills and her abilities to engage with people from all walks of life. Her friendships will no doubt continue forever.
We wish Tara every success in this next stage of her life.
